Testing out some brown paper and trying to figure out ways to speed up my process. This drawing is being done with the color first and pen after just to see if it is any faster. I am going to leave it unfinished for a while to work on some other drawings.
Final size has yet to be determined.
This is the first of my insect series. They're going to be slightly smaller works. I love it a lot, so I promise that it will be finished.
It looks amazing! Is this completely colour first or did you ink some of the finer lines? It's just some of the finer detail looks like it was done in pen. Is that water colour or pencil? Sorry for so many questions, I just love understanding the work flow of other artists.
the brown looks amazing so far, I cant wait to see how you approach colouring the rest of it. I'm interested to see how you will capture the transparency of the old carapaces, the way you can put life and decay in one image harmoniously just blows me away.
Can't wait to see them all colored
